Need help with
the HPP Instant Quoting system? You should be able to
find most answers below.
Q. How accurate do I need to be
with my overall dimensions of my model?
A. within .125 inches or 2 millimeters is
acceptable.
Q. Do I need to enter X, Y and Z
coordinates in any particular order or orientation?
A. As long as the part fits into the
build chamber (10" X 14" X 8") which direction is X, Y or Z
is not important. The Instant Quoting engine will
orient the part in the fastest build orientation.
Make sure to include the full extents
of your model in X, Y and Z.

example.
Q. How accurate do I need to be
in regards to the cubic volume?
A. You should be as accurate as possible.
All CAD systems can give you the exact cubic volume of your
model. This information is used to accurately quote
the cost of your model. If this information is
incorrect it will cause delays in you receiving your
prototype model on time. Note -
The cubic volume is the actual 3D volume of your part it is NOT the volume of the extents box of your part.
Q. How do I output a STL or VRML file
from my CAD system?
A. All CAD systems output both formats.

Q. What if my parts are too large for
the 10" X 14" X 8" build chamber?
A. Usually we can split the part in
numerous pieces and bond them together after building them.
